Thomas J. Sills

Thomas Jamaine Sills was called to pastor Connor’s Temple Baptist Church in March 2020. He was born October 21, 1976, to the late Thomas Sills Jr. and Aurelia Hendrix Sills as the youngest of four children.He was called to preach at the age of 14 and he graduated from Windsor Forest High School in Savannah, GA. Pastor Sills was ordained in July 1997 and he also completed Sheppard’s Class and Ministerial Training in 1997. He was called to pastor the Sweetfield of Eden Baptist Church in October 1998 and attended Master Bible College of Georgia.
Pastor Sills received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Christian Bible College and Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Fl. in August 2012.
He is committed to training leaders to do the work of the ministry and impact the Kingdom. He led Christ Memorial Baptist Church in their first live recording entitled “Just Give me the Word of God.” He recorded his first solo project featuring The Sweetfield of Eden Mass Choir in June 2010. Pastor Sills was awarded the Georgia’s Vision Award as Outstanding Pastor of The Year for 2011. God has stretched his ministry to Honduras and Puerto Rico where he is overseer and spiritual covering for some of their Churches and Pastors. In 2014, Pastor Sills received his second honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Dominion Faith Theological Seminary in Darien, Georgia.
He is the founder of Truth Covenant Ministerial Fellowship with sons and daughters in Tampa, Fl., Maryland, Honduras, Puerto Rico, Savannah and growing.

Thomas J. Sills is a worshipping and working pastor, community leader, activist, and published author. In 2018, he penned his first book entitled Better Days Ahead: Living Through The Process. Pastor Sills is the founder of Fathers Mentoring Sons, a local 501(c)3 with the focus of saving our young sirs from the ages of 8-18 by being the example, displaying love, and instilling values from the teachings and lives of each of the male mentors and volunteers. Bishop Sills is also serves as a chaplain of the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department where he’s frequently found on crime scenes and local hospitals offering comfort and words of consolation to the families of the deceased.
His love for his wife, Darlene, and sons, Sidney, Timothy (Khadijah), and daughters Jatia, Mayonna, Jada, and Chloe’ along with his grandson King and grand daughter Laila, is evident to all who know him. He is loved and appreciated as a visionary whose goal is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With humor, practical insight, and a unique “down home” approach, Pastor Sills delivers a refreshing Word that will challenge, strengthen and encourage.
